Payments may be made by: Cash, Visa, Mastercard, Discover or debit card. Please note that if you choose a receipt via text message, Square sends that receipt from a third-party phone number. Please do not reply to that number for future communication, as it will not reach me.
You will need to pay a 50% retainer to reserve your date. Without the retainer, we will not hold your date. Priority will be given to the paying customer. We ask that you be absolutely certain that you would like to work with us, as all retainers are non-refundable. The remainder of the balance is due two weeks (14 days) prior to your scheduled date, and is non-refundable. No desserts will be delivered if payment is not received. All returned checks and charges will be assessed a fee of $25.00, and will not be delivered until paid in full by cash or bank check only.
Alteration to Orders:
Any alterations to the original order must be confirmed in writing and may be subject to an additional charge. Date and time changes must be approved and are subject to availability. Order changes must be made no later than 14 days prior to the event date. In the event that a change is requested less than one week (7 days) prior, a convenience fee and supplies fee will be assessed of a minimum of $25 per hour.
Cancellation of Orders:
In the event of cancellation, work already completed is chargeable (cake toppers), and retainers are always non-refundable. If an order has been paid in full, only half (50%) will be refunded but only if cancelled more than fourteen (14) days prior. Notice received less than 14 days prior to the event date will not be refundable.
If you or your representative elect to pick up and set up the cake, you assume ALL liability and responsibility for the condition of the cake once it leaves That’s Edible Art’s possession. Delivery is complimentary for the Eugene/Springfield area. For delivery outside of the local area, you will be charged $0.50 per mile to/from the destination.
Set-up is included for the first 10 minutes. We reserve the right to use any photo for display or promotion without compensation to you. We are not responsible for any damage to the cake after setup is complete. Cakes are HEAVY and require a sturdy table, and optimal room temperature of 75 degrees or below. You are responsible for providing an appropriate and secure table and environment for the cake(s). If you choose to have your event outdoors, it is essential that you disclose this immediately (some ingredients might need adjusted).
Cake stands or equipment may be rented for an additional fee and refundable deposit. Items must be returned in their original condition no later than one week (7 days) after the event date. Failure to do so will result in equipment deposit being withheld.
I have notified you that “Disco Dust” and metallic highlighters are non-toxic- but are inedible. These products are not approved through the FDA for consumption. If real or faux flowers are provided by an outside source, we will arrange up to 10 stems free; $1 for each additional stem. You acknowledge that fresh flowers are not a food product, and may contain pesticides, insects, dirt, or other contaminants. You assume the responsibility of removing all applicable items before serving.
A cutting chart will be provided to you or your venue, with the proper way to cut the cake to guarantee you get the numbers of servings you paid for. Party cakes traditionally have larger cake slices than wedding cakes (party cake slices are approximately 1.5” x 2” and wedding cake slices are approximately 1” x 2”). That’s Edible Art cannot be held responsible if the person cutting the cake fails to follow measurements and instructions.
That’s Edible Art is not an allergen-free environment. Our products may contain or come into contact with milk, wheat, nuts, soy, and other allergens. You agree to notify your guests of this risk and hold us harmless for allergic reactions.
Commercial or Other Desserts:
You agree to use That's Edible Art for all of your event’s desserts (i.e. you will not use a commercial store to supply additional treats in order to lessen the cost paid). This is important to That's Edible Art because we don’t want your guests to think that we made anything other than the treats that we created.
If You Aren’t Satisfied:
We take pride in our desserts and cakes. If you are dissatisfied with your order and/or purchase, immediately notify us (within 24 hours) of your concern and return your dessert/cake to us. All refunds will be provided as an in-store credit of That’s Edible Art within five (5) business days upon receipt of the returned item. We do not provide cash refunds, and will not refund money or give credit without having the cake returned.
Performance of this agreement is contingent upon the ability of That's Edible Art to complete the agreement and is subject to labor disputes or strikes, accidents, Acts of God, and other causes beyond our control.
